Regina Gubareva, a master's student of the Department of "Information Systems" under the educational program 7M06113-"Corporate Information Systems and Technologies", defended her work on the topic "Taking time patterns in smart city data" from the Polytechnic University of Bragança (Portugal) online.
In the master's thesis, an analysis of large data on water consumption was carried out, the impact of the pandemic, social phenomena, demographic trends on resource consumption trends was considered.
The scientific supervisors of the dissertation work are associate professors of the "Information Systems" department, Ph.D. Borankulova Gauhar Sarsenbayovna and Rui Pedro Lopez, professor of the Polytechnic University of Bragança, praised the work in their reviews. The commission members of the two parties evaluated the work as "excellent".
This work was done by M.H. The first result of the dual diploma education program between Taraz Regional University named after Dulati and Bragança Polytechnic University. He received his first higher education at M.H. Dulaty Taraz Regional University in 2004, Faculty of Information Technologies, specialty of an economics - computer science. He continued his studies at the same faculty and in 2006 received master degree.
The fate and desire to quickly translate the acquired knowledge into practice led him to the banking business and from 2005 until 2008worked as a manager at ATF Bank. In 2008, he received an offer from the dynamically developing Alliance Bank to try himself in managerial positions as deputy director in the direction of small and medium business, where he worked until 2011.
In 2011, he was invited to head the branch of SB Sberbank JSC in Taraz where he work by this day combining banking work with teaching of future businessmen - students of Dulaty University.
Graduate model
The educational programs developed at the department are focused on training bachelors in the field of modern IT technologies. Graduates are prepared for work in computer and information services of government, in industrial enterprises, financial organizations, research institutions, design organizations, educational institutions and commercial companies.
The educational program (EP) comply with the requirements of the state compulsory education standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Higher education. Bachelor's degree. The implementation of the EP and itsdevelopment strategy is carried out by the Department of Information Systems of the Faculty of Information Technologies, Automation and Telecommunications in accordance with:
- State compulsory standard of higher education, dated October 31, 2018, No. 604;
- Standard rules for the organization of the educational process on credit technology of education (dated April 20, 2011, No. 152).
The emphasis of the program is placed on natural science, mathematical and engineering training, aimed at the formation of general cultural, universal and professional competencies of graduates.
The purpose of the EP is the formation of general and professional competencies in accordance with the state education standard for the training of specialists in the field of information technology.
EP are directed at ensuring the professional training of the graduate, fostering civic responsibility, striving for continuous professional growth and other personal qualities.
